Heath H. McWhorter
Managing Partner
Heath was born in southern Arizona. He lived on various ranches and farms in small towns in Arizona where he learned the importance of challenging work, perseverance, and pride in workmanship. Upon graduation from high school, he served a religious mission in Santiago, Chile for two (2) years wherein he learned Spanish and a love for the South American people.
After successfully completing his religious mission, Heath attended Mesa Community College and graduated with his Associates of Arts degree. He attended the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and earn a degree in Accountancy. During his undergraduate studies he worked as an Assistant Controller with Sears Financial Services where he maintained, managed, and analyzed financial statements, payroll, budgets, tax compliance issues, and special projects. He graduated from Arizona State University with degrees in Accountancy. Upon graduation, he began working for Accenture with American Express. His skills include software testing, troubleshooting issues, developing innovative solutions to drive growth, conducting training sessions for the client, reporting to the client, and resolving client issues. He attended the Sandra Day O’Connor College and graduated from with a Juris Doctorate Degree. During law school, he worked on various cases and financial issues for attorneys in real estate, business law, business valuations, contract review, probate litigation, estate planning, tax law, and family law.
Heath has twenty-two (22) years of litigation experience. He practices law in the areas of litigation, real estate law, business law, contracts, probate law, and family law. He has experience in personal injury, criminal law, tax law, administrative law, and licensing. Heath has been a licensed real estate broker in Arizona for seventeen (17) years.
Heath strives to eliminate litigation for his clients by precisely drafting documents to effectively accounting for the facts and law that can impact the parties to a document and agreement.
Heath understands the stress that a client feels in litigation cases. He believes a person should have professional and aggressive representation in litigation matters which begins with excellent communication. He strives to consistently meet or exceed his clients’ expectations, to earn the confidence of his clients and the respect of his peers one case at a time.
Lindsay McWhorter
Document Preparer
Lindsay serves as an Arizona Certified Legal Document Preparer (AZCLDP), offering essential support by providing factual information on legal options and efficiently guiding clients through court processes. Her practice focuses on several key areas, including Family Law (Divorce), Estate Planning (Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney), Deeds, and Mobile Notary Services. When not assisting clients, Lindsay cherishes time spent with her family.


Miranda A. Graves
Law Clerk
Raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Miranda Graves brings a unique blend of Midwestern charm and sharp legal acumen to the Valley. Her passion for law was ignited during high school, inspired by a professor who recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue the field. From that moment, Miranda’s inherent drive, grit, and discipline became the cornerstones of her academic and professional journey, propelling her forward with remarkable determination.
Miranda’s academic path began at Northwest Missouri State University, where she studied Criminology from 2015 to 2017. She later transferred to the University of Colorado, earning her degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections in 2018. Following her undergraduate studies, Miranda quickly gained valuable hands-on experience as a paralegal in Colorado for nearly two years, and also served as a law clerk. This practical foundation prepared her for the rigors of law school, which she impressively completed in just two years, graduating from Charleston School of Law in 2023. During her law school tenure, she further broadened her expertise by working as a compliance officer, demonstrating her commitment to understanding complex legal frameworks.
Beyond her professional achievements, Miranda is characterized by her energetic, encouraging, and genuine nature, as consistently described by friends and loved ones. She is an individual who thrives on new experiences, constantly pursuing adventures through travel, attending concerts, and experimenting with new recipes. In her professional life, this translates into a tactical and client-focused approach, as she is always diligently looking out for the best interests of those she represents.
Johnathan G. Castellanos
Paralegal
Born and raised right here in Arizona, Johnathan is a valuable addition to The McWhorter Law Firm, bringing a deep-rooted understanding of our community. He recently graduated from Arizona State University in 2024 with a degree in Political Science, a foundational step in his journey toward a career in law. This academic background, combined with his natural critical thinking skills and an impressive attention to detail, laid the groundwork for his transition into the legal field.
Before joining the team, Johnathan honed his exceptional customer service abilities over six years in the demanding restaurant industry, where he managed local establishments. These roles weren’t just about serving; they involved developing and implementing various dining programs, showcasing his strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex operations under pressure. This background has uniquely equipped him to approach client interactions with a client-first mentality, ensuring that every individual feels heard and supported. His passion for service is so genuine, he even continues to enjoy serving outside of his paralegal duties.
Johnathan’s dedication to the law is evident in his commitment to growth; he is currently an aspiring Juris Doctorate Candidate, eager to deepen his legal expertise. Beyond his professional pursuits, he enjoys tinkering with computer parts, exploring new restaurants, and spending quality time with his high school sweetheart and their four dogs. His diverse interests and strong family ties underscore his well-rounded personality and grounded approach, making him a dedicated and compassionate paralegal ready to assist clients with their legal needs.


Nicole Hoang
Legal Assistant
Originally from New Jersey, Nicole’s journey led her to North Carolina from 2010 to 2013, before she settled in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2013. She is currently a highly driven and dedicated Legal Assistant, pursuing an accelerated degree in Business Law and a Certificate in Leadership in Business at Arizona State University, with plans to graduate in Spring 2026. Her consistent presence on the Dean’s List underscores her strong academic commitment. In her role at the firm, Nicole is quickly gaining valuable hands-on legal experience, demonstrating her sharp intellect and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Nicole is a natural leader and an active member of her community. As Vice President of Inclusion for her sorority, she oversees various chapter operations, including sisterhood events and comprehensive education on diversity, equity, inclusion, and health and wellness. She also chairs the chapter’s Accountability and Support Board. Previously, as the sorority’s Director of Philanthropy and Community Service, Nicole spearheaded successful fundraising efforts, including raising over $10,000 for a national child abuse prevention organization. She also dedicates her time to volunteering and tutoring in her community.
Nicole is passionate about fostering genuine connections and is a firm believer in clear communication and equity. She further developed these qualities during her time as an Events and Community Specialist for a leading social networking company, where she excelled at planning engaging, community-wide events. In her free time, you’ll find her cooking, traveling, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family. These diverse experiences, coupled with her strong analytical abilities and empathetic leadership, demonstrate her significant contributions and lay an excellent foundation for her work in the legal field.
